GEMALAB Material Laboratory
The laboratory is designed in such a way that the work is facilitated from within. It is composed of three related sections, each comprised of all the necessary instruments and equipment for its respective material to be tested properly (i.e. soil, asphalt and concrete). The lab has ample storage space for the samples received. Upon arrival to the lab, each sample is categorized, labeled, registered in a record and stored separately. The concrete specimens are cured in a special water tank, marked and dated for easy withdrawal on the date of testing.
The three sections are equipped with the suitable environment where all safety and health measures are taken into consideration.
in GEMALAB, the equipment used for testing material is of MATEST trademark, made in Italy. The equipment is designed to satisfy the most important international standards such as UNI, ISO, ASTM, AASHTO, BS, AFNOR, DIN, EN and UNE.
